Located between the Meixi lake and mountains, this site came out as an opportunity to create a soft architectural transition from the bucolic landscape to the built environment. The multi-functional complex host mainly 2 functions : public commercial spaces and industrial production spaces of micro-electronic products for the air force of China. The highly contrasted functions are hierarchized by the general volume which is split in two parts: a pedestal taking the shape of natural rock formation which support the pure volumes. The playful pedestal serves public spaces and the upper volumes states our approach to re-invent the regular factory. The facades has gradient of openings variations according to the views on the site and the planned functions. Those openings allows an opening on both, nature and growing city. The inner court design emerges from the same stream lines of the lot and gives an access to the mountain path via the public segment of the complex. Overall, our complex knits natural and built environment, in a single system open on both dimensions.
