A8 Music group is a leading and innovative Chinese music download company. The approach for this project was to create a tower who embodies its function; there by promoting the dynamism of music as well as the hosted user. To begin, the prismatic volume is split according to the scheme of musical reading. Shaped of like a serie of sound waves, the coloured LED lighted facade is organized according to the Scriabin keyboard, a system of where music tones are associated to a color, developed by the synaesthetic Russian composer Alexander Scriabian. This synaesthetic facade that responds to music download data traffic via the company website, A8.com, and becomes itself a composer by creating an ever fluctuating crazy light composition. The visual symphony is enhance by the dancing reflections of the city on the deconstructed facade. The building becomes a city-scale device, visually revealing the invisible world of internet traffic.
