The Crystal Island Icon acts as an urban activator linking the hidden world below to the open upper spaces. The site becomes both a destination and departure at the hinge of focal point. We propose a large scale building rather than a sculpture that mimics the city's ambition. The structure represent a single identity and an urban condition.  An identity generated by the integration and democratization of diverse program and spaces. A condition charged with the potential for generating social events. The central void of the volume, allows a city axis to pass through. This can be used as a public stage for citizen. It suggest the potential of unexpected and unpredictable situations, which makes the plaza to be attractive and potentially eventful. What is neutral and what is particular? what is building and what is sculpture? What is infrastructure and what is context? ….Our proposal aims to answers these questions in an ambitious, optimism, playful and futurism way.
