This park is an homage to the Hakka culture, the greatest travellers of China through history. We aimed to re-interpret and tell the story of Hakka culture. Through the linear park , each episode of Hakka's immigration wave are represented by a sequences of frames. Just like line marks on a time-line, the frames mark the five main phases hierarchically. As the user enters, the frames open an infinite perspective to the landscape. Along the path are located compass-like landscape element. The circular shape allows a gathering interior court, which is recalling the Hakka vernacular architecture. The needle element axis point the the direction where Hakka people travelled to. The length of those elements are proportional to the distance travelled by the each migrants. The park is crossed by water-plan and the man element are implanted levelled terraces, again in reference to the Hakka settlement.
